The drop out fuse series products are mainly used for overload and short-circuit protection of 10kV, 35kV and other distribution lines and transformers, while also having the characteristics of easy operation and the ability to form obvious disconnection points.

Its main uses can be summarized as:

1. Short circuit protection for distribution lines: When a short circuit fault occurs in the line, the fuse quickly melts, automatically drops, cuts off the fault current, and protects the line and equipment.  

Overload and short circuit protection of distribution transformers is widely used on the high voltage side of distribution transformers as the main protection device to prevent equipment damage caused by overload or short circuit.  

3. The segmentation of outdoor distribution lines and the formation of obvious disconnection points when isolation fuses fall can be used for electrical isolation during line maintenance, improving maintenance safety.  

4. The protection of branch lines in rural distribution networks and urban networks is widely used at the branch lines and user entry points of rural and urban networks, and is one of the most common outdoor protection devices.  

5. Used in conjunction with reclosers and sectionalizers in automated distribution systems, it can be used in conjunction with reclosers and sectionalizers to achieve automatic isolation and recovery of line faults.  

6. Replace the function of some circuit breakers in small capacity and unimportant lines, which can be used as simple breaking devices for normal operation of opening and closing (in accordance with regulations).
